Characteristics of Traditional Korean dress

Clothing, including headgear, footwear and belts, was first worn in order to protect the human body.

 Korean traditional hanbok consist of jacket and trousers for men, and skirt and outer garments for women.
These are supplemented with accessories consisting of jewelry, headgear, footwear and belts.
Over time this basic attire underwent slight changes, often as a result of foreign influences.
